Dr. Towanda Jackson is a Washington, D.C. native whose career has been shaped by a deep commitment to child advocacy, family strengthening, and building healthy communities. With over 20 years of experience, she has provided compassionate support to individuals, couples, and families across diverse civilian populations as well as active-duty military and veteran communities.
Dr. Jackson is the Founder and Clinical Director of the Jackson Marriage and Family Counseling Group, a private mental health practice with offices in Washington, D.C., and Fredericksburg, VA. She also serves as an Adjunct Professor, contributing her clinical expertise to the academic community.
A licensed psychotherapist, Dr. Jackson is a trained facilitator for the Duluth Model Family Violence Prevention Program and the STOP (Skills Techniques Options Plans) Domestic Violence Prevention Program. Her academic achievements include a Doctorate of Social Work from the University of Southern California, a Master of Social Work from Howard University, and a Master of School Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
