Dr. Shelli Larkin serves as the Director and Chief Clinical Officer of Student Health Services at Augusta University in Augusta, GA, where she leads strategic planning, oversees clinical and administrative staff, and promotes campus-wide wellness. She currently serves as President of the Southern College Health Association (SCHA) and co-chairs the Professional Development Committee for Augusta University's Division of Enrollment and Student Affairs.


A recognized Subject Matter Expert in women’s health, sexual assault, interpersonal violence, and non-fatal strangulation, Dr. Larkin chairs the Augusta and Columbia Judicial Circuits Sexual Assault Response Teams (SART). She has led efforts to standardize forensic examination protocols, implement simulation-based training, and coordinate multidisciplinary team responses. She also serves on the Board of the Sexual Assault Response Center (SARC) and co-chairs the Sexual Assault Subcommittee of Georgia’s State Expert Committee on Sexual Assault, Child Abuse, and Human Trafficking.


Dr. Larkin previously held leadership roles within the U.S. Army Medical Command as Sexual Assault Medical Director and Program Manager, overseeing forensic medical services and trauma-informed care. She developed sexual assault policies, led SARTs, trained forensic examiners, and conducted regional medical case reviews.


With over 20 years as a Board-Certified Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner and Nurse Executive, Dr. Larkin has consulted on women’s health, developed forensic curricula, and implemented policy at multiple agencies. Nationally certified as a SANE-A and Colposcopist, she lectures in nursing and medical education and provides expert witness testimony across Georgia.
