Georgia Coalition Against Domestic Violence (GCADV)

Jennifer Lyon serves as Director of Training and Capacity Building for the Georgia Coalition Against Domestic Violence (GCADV). Jennifer provides training to domestic violence advocates and other service providers across the state. Along with developing and facilitating training, Jennifer provides technical assistance to Domestic Violence agencies looking to ensure services to survivors are trauma-informed and survivor centered. She has over two decades of professional experience working with those impacted by interpersonal violence, serving diverse populations via domestic violence shelters, state agencies, nonprofits, and faith-based organizations. A nationally credentialed advocate by the National Office for Victims Assistance as both a Domestic Violence Intervention Specialist and a Child Abuse Intervention Specialist, Jennifer has provided expert witness testimony in over a dozen criminal domestic violence jury trials across Georgia. Jennifer is a graduate of Mercer University with a Masters of Science in Organizational Leadership-Nonprofit Management and a Masters of Divinity. She remains committed to empowering our state toward a violence-free future, through her work at GCADV, as an active member of her local Domestic Violence Task Force, and by raising her two kids to help build a more just and generous world.
