Welcome to the 31st Annual Statewide Family Violence Conference hosted by the Georgia Commission on Family Violence! Join us in sunny Jekyll Island to strengthen our collective commitment to safety, accountability, and justice throughout Georgia.
This year's theme, "Navigating the New (not) Normal," reflects the shifting dynamics of family violence and encourages innovative and adaptive approaches as we tackle the ever-changing challenges of family violence in today's world.
Join us for impactful discussions, transformative sessions, and collaborative opportunities with today’s thought-leaders, experts, and advocates from across the state and nation. Together, we will delve into innovative perspectives, explore new approaches, and fortify our dedication to creating safer homes and stronger communities for everyone.
Let’s navigate this journey as a unified force for progress. The Georgia Commission on Family Violence is honored to host this endeavor, and we are delighted to have you with us.
How does it feel to be vulnerable? Explore how it feels and what we can do to prevent youth from being victimized. We will discuss best practices on working with victims and survivors of trafficking and the importance of being trauma informed. Personal survivor stories will be broken down to look at what could have been done differently. The presentation is a mix of audience participation, lecture and hands on activity to learn what we can do to protect and guide youth to safety.
